Vauxhall Leisure Centre is based at 50 South Lambeth Road, 0.3 miles from Vauxhall tube and bus Station.
It is run by Better Leisure. You can find out more about the pool here
The leisure centre entrance is level access.
Once inside there is a lift or steps to access the swimming pool level which is in the basement. Access to the pool is via steps or a sling hoist.
The water temperature is around 28 °C.
There is a small viewing bench area alongside the swimming pool where family and carers can sit.
The changing rooms are unisex with small and large cubicles.
There is also a separate disabled changing room with a hoist, changing bed, and a shower.
There is a unisex shower area by the entrance to the pool.
The lockers take a £1 coin.
There is no dedicated car park at the centre.
The weekly session will be held on Thursdays from 11.15pm to 12.30pm. You will be supported by our team of friendly trained volunteers, providing a safe, supportive environment to swim in. We meet in the swimming pool reception before the barriers between 11.00 - 11.15 and go through together. After your swim there will be an opportunity to chat to other swimmers and volunteers over some biscuits in the swimming pool reception.
We ask swimmers for a £2 contribution per session to help support the on-going operation of the club. If you have worries about being able to pay this on a regular basis please talk to tash@weswim.club.
The sessions and community at WeSwim Vauxhall are led by our fabulous committee. They work with a local team of friendly, enthusiastic and trained volunteers who support our swimmers in the water. The club team also act as our safeguarding officers.
